3D Printed Sundial
Ideation
Initial Concept
The watch turned out to be too bulky.
The printer could not print accurately in
the size needed to make the links curve around
my small wrist. Also, I wanted my watch to
work, but did not want to take apart an
existing watch face and insert it.
Final Design
Exploded assembly view of my final design.
My final design turned into a sundial in
order to tell time while avoiding inserting a
watch face and the interior components. I plan
to continue this design by 3D printing in bronze
filament and attaching a leather band.
